Hotel 67 is a premium hotel which offers comfort and value at its best. Established in 2014, the establishment had a vision of being the number one hotel in the continent offering the highest international standards of service. Located along Mombasa road, 6km from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and 5km from the SGR Nairobi Terminus, the hotel has 64 rooms, a delightful restaurant and popular health club which includes a spa, gym and swimming pool.

The hotel has joined the ranks of those mitigating negative environmental impact by commissioning the installation of solar energy to aid in sustainability. The 90,000 kWh plant by Safi Power is expected to see over 500 tonnes of CO2 reduction in the course of its operation.

At the 2019 Kenya Association of Hotel Keepers and Caterers (KAHC) conference, sustainability was high on the agenda, with was discussions on how the industry can continue to make strides towards going greener. In a report released shortly after, there was commitment made to push suppliers and partners to come up with products and packaging that is friendly for the environment. In addition to this, it has been estimated that 75% of hotel’ environmental impact can be directly related to excessive consumption.

General Manager David Kibanya comitted to this as he said, “we are playing our part by looking at our energy consumption and the installation of this alternative supply will help us be more energy efficient which will make a difference for the environment as well as our bottom line.”
